Brake repair and services

Bad brakes are a major factor in rear-end collisions and also contribute to pedestrian injuries and fatalities when the driver simply cannot stop in time. Don’t become a statistic! Have your brakes inspected regularly.

BRAKE AREAS TO KEEP AN EYE ON

Brake pads & discs: These wear out a little every time to stop. Eventually, it will become harder and harder to stop, increasing risk of accident. It’s important that worn parts be replaced with good quality pads and discs. Getting a “great deal” on inexpensive brake pads is not a “deal” at all when the replacement pads squeal constantly, or even worse, drastically increase stopping distance.

ABS: That little “ABS” light on your dash is important. The antilock brake system is there to prevent your wheels from locking up when you hit the brakes hard. Paying attention to that warning light and having your ABS system repaired could save your life.

Brake lines: A leak anywhere in the brake line can seriously compromise braking performance. Don’t wait until you hear grinding every time you stop or your brake pedal feels “mushy.”
